Clisanco Technologies Limited is committed to protecting personal data — both the data we handle as a controller (site visitors, enquiries, training registrations) and the data we handle as a processor on behalf of clients we serve.

1. Roles

  • Data controller — for personal data collected through clisancotechnologies.org, our training registrations, and our newsletter.
  • Data processor — for personal data our engineering and consultancy teams handle inside systems we build or support for institutional clients. Our handling in this role is governed by the underlying client contract.

2. Data-protection principles we apply

  • Lawfulness, fairness, transparency — we tell you what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
  • Purpose limitation — data collected for a stated purpose is not repurposed.
  • Data minimisation — our forms ask only for what we genuinely need to respond.
  • Accuracy — you can request correction of any inaccurate personal data we hold about you.
  • Storage limitation — enquiry data is deleted after 24 months of inactivity.
  • Integrity & confidentiality — data is encrypted in transit, protected at rest, and only accessed by authorised staff.
  • Accountability — we keep records of processing activities and review them annually.

3. Sub-processors

Site infrastructure is hosted with reputable cloud providers under enterprise-grade contractual protections. A current list of sub-processors is available on request from info@clisancotechnologies.org.

4. International transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside Kenya, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in line with Section 48 of the Data Protection Act (2019).

5. Your rights

You may at any time:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to any legal retention obligations).
  • Object to further processing.
  • Withdraw consent (e.g. unsubscribe from our newsletter).

To exercise any of these rights, email info@clisancotechnologies.org. We aim to respond within 7 working days.

If you believe we've mishandled your personal data, we'd like to hear about it first — you can also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) at odpc.go.ke.
